René Jones's professional background includes corporate philanthropy, community development, and national fundraising. She is the founding director of the UTA Foundation at United Talent Agency (UTA), a talent and literary agency based in Los Angeles and New York. 

As director, René oversees charitable and volunteer opportunities and provides strategic philanthropic guidance for clients, executives, and corporations. René is also head of enrichment for the agency and has created signature programming such as Project Impact, UTA Mentoring, Extreme School Makeovers in Central America, and UTA University.
 
Prior to launching the UTA Foundation, René began her career in the U.S. Senate continuing on to become finance director and consultant for many high-profile political campaigns. She then entered the non-profit sector where her experience included serving as development director for several national organizations. In her current capacity, René advises global, national and local organizations on best practices for effective entertainment industry engagement. She has also traveled with clients and NGO’s to Africa, Central America, Haiti, and South America to bring awareness to global causes such as clean water, girls education, affordable housing, malaria, micro-financing, and women’s issues.
 
Her community involvement includes serving on the boards of Healthy Child Healthy World and Los Angeles River Revitalization Corp, and is a USC Marshall Society and Business Lab Senior Fellow. René is an avid global traveler and has visited over 60 countries, with more on her list. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband Roy, son Chase, and daughter Vivienne.
