Sylvia is a recognized publicist and launched the strategy of Integrated Communications, Retos Femeninos, in 2007. She focuses on the personal and professional growth of thousands of women through events in the National Auditorium of Mexico City, the social network retosfemeninos.com, a monthly e-Journal called “The Best of Retos Femeninos,” her Facebook and Twitter channels, her book “Women's Challenges,” and through her role as a specialized TV advisor seeking to empower women. More than one million registered women follow Sylvia´s activities today.
In 2014, Sylvia launched turetoemprendedor.com as a tool endorsed by the Mexico-United States Entrepreneurship and Innovation Council (MUSEIC) to support gender equality in high-impact entrepreneurship. Sylvia frequently creates and disseminates media campaigns aimed at reducing rates of violence against women.
Sylvia is a recognized speaker and is a member of the International Women's Forum. She has participated in TED talks in Mexico, fora with Vital Voices and WEConnect, and multiple TV and radio programs around impacting women lives. She is an advisor to the Communication Council, representing the most recognized media and communication corporations in Mexico to promote the most relevant social causes.
Among her most recent recognitions, Sylvia was named to the list Women to Watch 2016 by Advertising Age NY, and noted by AdLatina for her marketing to women strategy. She was one of seven Mexican representatives to light the Olympic torch in the 2012 London games.
