Nguyen Thu Hue

Nguyen Thu Hue co-founded and leads the strategic development of Center for Marinelife Conservation and Community Devleopment (MCD), a leading Vietnamese NGO in the field of coastal and marine ecosystem conservation. MCD strives for a coastal zone of Vietnam with healthy ecosystems and a good quality of life for coastal communities, especially those which are most vulnerable. 

More than 15,000 local coastal community members have benefited from the strategic partnership and fundraising plan Ms. Hue has built for MCD to implement its programs. 

She has been a panelist at several international events, including the Vital Voices of Asia Summit in 2010, the Marine Funders Meeting in 2014, and the Asia Summit of Microsoft Philanthropies in 2016.  

Ms. Hue and MCD’s work has been recognized by various authorized agencies in Vietnam including the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) in 2015, as one of the most outstanding science and technology organizations.
