Under Kim’s leadership, POLITICO grew to 450 employees and was recognized by Fast Company and many others as among the most innovative companies in the industry. ELLE named Kim one of Washington's “Ten Most Powerful Women," and Washington Life featured her on recent "Power 100" and "Rising Stars Under 40” lists.
In the months following her departure, Kim continued her work in the women's empowerment space and spent time in Swaziland serving as a strategic advisor to Gone Rural, a thriving handcraft business and social enterprise dedicated to uplifting the lives of women and their communities. Kim is a member of the 2016 Class of Henry Crown Fellows and the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute and is an Advisory Board member of Georgetown University's Institute of Politics and Public Service.
Kim graduated from Penn State with a BA degree in Broadcast Journalism, and spent her final semester abroad at the University of Ghana.
