This inspired her to begin DJ'ing and soon after she bought a set of Technics turntables to teach herself the craft. A year later she was introduced to DJ Spinderella (Salt-n-Pepa) who served as a mentor and helped launch her into the LA hip-hop scene. In 2004, Michelle the left her publicity career to focus on DJ'ing full time. Since then, Michelle has performed at private parties and clubs in France, Spain, Kenya, Uganda, Canada, Haiti, Anguilla and Mexico, and is a staple in the Hollywood event scene.
In 2015, Michelle expanded her business by starting Nona Entertainment, an artist entertainment company. Nona works closely with clients and DJs to craft the perfect musical vibe for a wide range of events.
After 18 years in the music industry, Michelle shows no signs of slowing down. She has expanded her focus to include her multiple passions – DJing, Nona Entertainment, activism and uniting female DJs.
