Andeisha Farid is the founder and chair of the board of a children’s NGO that runs 11 orphanages in Afghanistan and refugee camps in Pakistan for 600 ethnically diverse kids.
Andeisha was honored at Vital Voices’ 2010 Global Leadership Awards, and President Barack Obama praised her as “an extraordinary woman from Afghanistan who’s taken great risks to educate the next generation, one girl at a time."
