Mentoring Begins in South Africa

Powerful testimonials on the true nature of leadership and an offsite visit to local entrepreneurs in Cape Town marked a successful first full day of the Global Ambassadors Program in South Africa.

To Bank of America’s Jennifer Taylor, leadership means “driving forward what you know, but just as importantly, articulating what you don’t know and finding a solution.”

As Global Ambassadors Taylor, Denise Menelly, Ann Veneman, Inez McCormack and Wendy Luhabe got acquainted with their mentees from around the world, the women unspooled personal stories of triumph and challenge as they navigated their way to top positions in business, government and civil society.

“A woman needs to have a mentor at every stage of her life,” noted Israeli mentee Liron Peleg-Hadomi, after taking in the day’s discussions.
