Head of the Public Movement, “Faith, Hope, Love”

Tatiana Semikop is a licensed psychologist and longtime advocate for the prevention of HIV/AIDS. She is head of the public movement “Faith, Hope, Love,” and director of the newspaper, “Here and Now,” popular among people living with HIV/AIDS, intravenous drug users and prisoners.

She has served on a number of boards of organizations working towards the elimination of HIV/AIDS. Her advocacy has earned her recognition and awards, recently the Police Medal for Children’s Rights from the Union Generals of Internal Affairs. She was also awarded the Order of MIA Ukraine of Honor.

Tatiana's career began as a Russian language and literature teacher for a secondary school in Odessa, followed by a career in law enforcement. She held the position of the Chief of Criminal Police for the Children at the Main Ministry of the Interior in Odessa until 2011.
