Founder and managing consultant of Tafadzwa Ne Chiedza Development Trust, Patience Magodo is an international banker and a certified lender. She worked in the commercial banking industry for 23 years locally in Zimbabwe, regionally in Africa and internationally in Singapore and Dubai for an emerging market bank Standard Chartered. She is now establishing social banking in Rural Zimbabwe for the economic benefit of small holder farmers as her Trust is focused on financial and social inclusiveness for those in the bottom of the pyramid. Her vision is to see the poor access credit, knowledge and markets.
She is a qualified public accountant and holds a master’s degree in Credit Risk Management. In 2015 she was awarded The Brilliant Entrepreneur Certificate by the Dutch Embassy in Harare. Patience was also selected by the United States Embassy in Harare in 2016 to pilot a project in establishing sustainable projects to alleviate poverty in Zaka, a rural impoverished zone in Zimbabwe.
Patience Magodo also runs a for-profit social enterprise in Zimbabwe. Her business processes oil seeds, small grain based breakfast cereal products and dried fruit. The products it processes are organically cultivated and supplied by local small farms.
