Linh Phuong Nguyen is the executive director of the Research Center for Management and Sustainable Development (MSD). MSD’s mission is to create an enabling environment for the development of Vietnam’s civil society sector and to promote the rights of marginalized groups in Vietnam, especially women, children, and people with disabilities.

Linh has worked as a leader in the development sector for more than ten years. She has provided capacity building programs to hundreds of civil society organizations (CSOs) in Vietnam, and has coached 90 local NGOs to achieve better performance and financial sustainability. Linh created the ODIC (Organization Development Methodology of Inspiring Culture) to build the capacity of more than 300 CSOs throughout Vietnam. She has also written and published numerous guidebooks and research papers related to CSO empowerment in Vietnam.

Linh’s recognitions and awards include the 2009 and 2012 Best Vietnamese NGO Leader Award. She was also awarded a Global Community Leaders certificate by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the United States Department of State in 2014. Linh holds a master’s degree in strategic management from London Metropolitan University.
