Karla Borges Furlaneto

Karla is a lawyer with experience in economics and international law and served as a manager of the Department of Trade and Foreign Affairs at the Federation of Industries of State of São Paulo (FIESP).

At her own law firm since 2010, she focuses on international trade and investment. She is a doctoral candidate at the University of São Paulo Law School.

Karla mentors students at the University where she lectures and was also chosen to be one of the mentors of the mentorship program led by the US Consulate in São Paulo. She was also invited to develop and take part in the Global Summit of Women, a summit that connects sectors – public, private, and nonprofit – to expand women’s economic opportunities.
