Joyce Mbwette

Since 1999, Joyce Mbwette has been the Managing Director and shareholder of Footloose (T) LTD, a limited liability trading company operating between international buyers and small scale craft and agricultural producers. Dealing with all company matters on a daily basis, Joyce coordinates all of the small scale artisans and key frontline staff in linking the company with international buyers.

She regularly attends forums, meetings, workshops, trade and sources shows on behalf of the company and producers. Additionally, Joyce manages the financial, administrative and human resources sides of the business.

Prior to joining Footloose Tanzania, Joyce worked with the National Bank of Commerce as an Agriculture Project Credit Officer from 1986-1999. She reviewed different small scale industries and agricultural projects submitted by clients and submitted the final project report to the credit committee for approval. In that capacity, she worked in over 87 small scale industries and agricultural projects all over the country.

Joyce has a Diploma in Horticulture from the Tengeru Horticulture Institute. She has certificates in Planning, Appraisal and Financing Small Scale Agricultural Projects; Credit Management; and Strategic Business Management. She participated in the United States Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Business Exchange Program in 2003 and the African Women Exchange Program (AWEP) in 2011.
