Isabel’s professional experiences include time served as a law firm associate in Panama, and as a legal counselor for the Embassy of Panama in Washington, D.C. during the negotiations of the U.S. Panama Trade Promotion Agreement and the extradition proceedings of Manuel Noriega. In 2009, Isabel moved back to Puerto Rico and became a special aide and federal grants manager for the Puerto Rico Trade and Export Company (PRTEC). In this same year, she was also recognized as one of Puerto Rico’s Caribbean Business’ “40 under 40,” a distinction for local upcoming entrepreneurs and young professional leaders.
Isabel is also the co-founder and chairwoman of the San Juan Tech Meetup (SJTM), whose goal is to connect all players in the creative (arts, design, culture) and tech economy through networking and collaboration. She is a member of Network, a women-only professional group in Puerto Rico, formed by C-Suite executives, academics and top professionals.
