Vera Futorjanski

Vera is the head of Global Communications of the Dubai Future Foundation, a core entity of the Dubai Government that was launched by the office of the Prime Minister of the UAE to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Dubai through innovation. She is also a part of the founding team for the Dubai Future Accelerators which was launched to pair the world’s most exciting technology companies with leading government departments to create transformational solutions with a global impact. 

Before joining the government of Dubai, Vera set up the chapter of Techfugees, a social enterprise mobilizing the international tech community to respond to the refugee situation. Prior to that, Vera came to the Middle East as an Entrepreneur in Residence and then later became a Founder for one of Rocket Internet’s tech ventures.  

Before her career in the tech world, Vera completed her MSc at the London School of Economics and served as a political consultant in the European Union in Brussels. She has lived in 10 countries and is fluent in five languages.
